Supervisors for Custody and Escort Operations
1st Line and 2nd Line supervisors are needed to oversee Detention Officer (DO) services for a security contract with DHS/ICE. Duties include but are not limited to escorting detainees to and from transport vehicles, monitoring detainees in custody, serving detainees prepared meals provided by the government, searching holding cells for weapons or contraband, and conducting limited pat-downs. All contract supervisors will have appropriate background clearances, training, certifications and licenses. These requirements will include but are not limited to:
• Provision and approval of Contractor employees shall proceed in accordance with ICE Suitability Screening Requirements for Contractor Personnel.
• Contractor employees shall not begin working under the contract until the entire background investigation (BI) is completed with approval from ICE/ERO Security.
• All contractor personnel will maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the appropriate passenger endorsement(s) necessary to provide transportation of ICE Detainees as required by the COR and operational needs
• Contractor personnel shall be certified as security guards in the state(s) where their work is conducted and must meet and maintain certification standards in each state for training in the use of firearms, collapsible batons, and Oleoresin Capsicum (OC).
• Contractor shall only utilize drivers who meet all local, state and federal qualifications and licensing requirements in the location(s) which the drivers will be operating.
• Contractor personnel shall be U.S. Citizens and must reside in the United States.1st Line Supervisor
In addition to the duties described above, the 1st Line Supervisor shall have a minimum of two years of successful experience in field supervision of detention officer or correctional officer services. The 1st Line Supervisor provides direct first level supervision of day to day transport operations that include the supervision and management of transport teams. The 1st Line Supervisor reports directly to the 2nd Line Supervisor and is responsible for direct oversight and planning of daily shift schedules, work flow and day to day operations of transportation teams and interacts with Government personnel as necessary.
2nd Line Supervisor
In addition to the duties described above, the 2nd Line Supervisor shall have a minimum of two years of successful experience in field supervision of detention officer or correctional officer services. The 2nd line Supervisor oversees day to day transport operations that include the supervision of transport teams and the 1st Line Supervisor. The 2nd Line Supervisor reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, work flow and day to day operations of transportation teams. The 2nd line Supervisor also coordinates tactical transport operations with Government personnel.
