Veterinary Technician/Driver

We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician (prefer certified, but will consider experience) who has a “can do” and “will do” attitude with the skills and abilities to handle many different functions within our small extremely high-volume spay/neuter non-profit mobile veterinary clinic.

You must be able and willing to perform the following duties:

-Drive a 24 ft box truck mobile veterinary unit to clinic sites throughout valley (no CDL is required). Have a clean driving record. You do not have to have driven a truck before, but be willing to learn.

-Be available to work up to 20-40 hours per week (with some overtime as required) weekly. Often requires long days over 8 hours. (Paid hourly)

-High volume/High Speed, Pre/post surgical, intubation and anesthesia induction, surgical prep, surgical assist, clean and sterilize surgical packs, stock, organize and clean mobile clinic,

-Superior animal handling and restraint skills,

-Excellent people skills and customer service with public and be able to handle animal intake during busy clinics.

-Answer clinic phone calls as needed. Follow-up with clients as needed.

-Work with computer and handle invoicing and data entry for clinic. Experience with Practi-Vet software would be helpful. Must be computer literate!

-Order supplies, lift up to 50 pounds with no physical restrictions, place IV catheters, clean cages, vaccines and injections.

You must be willing to work flexible weekly schedule with some weekends, and have reliable transportation.
